*Gasp* Saturday Blogging?

Yes, I am blogging on a Saturday. I gladly push aside the computer each weekend. Today though...I had to work. It was quite sad. Basically we had someone schedule a conference room on a Sat. but nobody wrote it down. Fortunately the company called to confirm on Fri...otherwise they wouldn't have been able to get in. Since it was so last minute the Sat. job duty fell on me. One co-worker had to work her other job, the other girl was out of town, and sooooo...It's all about me today. The one good thing of it is that I get over-time pay. I would rather be out playing though... :-)

Very small aspects of the wedding are moving along. I've already had people volunteer to help with different things. What a blessing!!! I also need to go get a wedding dress here pretty soon. I haven't even started looking. I really, really hope I like what they have locally. I also hope it doesn't cost much! I don't really want to go hunting all over California for one. I probably won't end up doing that though until the beg. of Sept. I have a lot going on this month. That's enough time right? The beg. of Sept. would be a little less than 5 months away. Don't you have to have it altered or something? I didn't realize that you don't by the dress your size...that you try on dresses that are a size 10 or 12 and then they take it in later. How in the world do you know if it looks good on you? Do they pull it back with their hands or something? My mom said that if I like it and it looks good when they pull it back...then I'll probably love it when it actually fits properly. I guess that's a good point.

But, things are good...quite good. Anyways, I'm closing my very rare Saturday post. Until Monday!!! Oh, and for your viewing enjoyment here are some bridesmaid dresses that I was a little drawn to...what do you think?...bwah ha ha haaaaa! Oh the power I hold!!! ;-)

Definitely go with the gold shiny ones! I think that if you add the parasols from the last pic and change them to gold that would be marvelous!!

I think that if you get your dress at least 3 months before the wedding that will give you enough time... A lot of tailors won't take the dress in until about 1 month before the wedding, just in case of weight loss or gain... got to make sure it fits right! I bought my dress in a size that fit and only had it hemmed up and bustled... I don't think that you will gain or lose that much weight, you are so active!, so you should be safe getting it in a size that fits you, and isn't too big.

ha! those dresses are HILARIOUS!

it's a total pain trying on dresses that are several sizes too big. that was frustrating to me. yes the person pins them and stuff, but it is still pretty annoying.

wedding dress shopping is so fun tho! so excited for you guys!

I love the dresses!!! and yes you do hold all the power - your bridesmaids will either love you and look good or love you so much they are willing to look bad :). If you need a shopping buddy for your gown I'd love to go with you...if I can find a sitter :) - I'm so nice to volunteer to help with the fun stuff!

So I know that we talked about getting together this Tues. for dinner but I wanted to warn you that I may not be up for it. I went into the ER on Friday to get the lumps (really swollen lymph nodes) in my neck looked at again because they are starting to press into my esophagus. They did a CT and found out that I have more in my neck and chest. I go in on Mon. for a biopsy to find out what is causing the swelling. It sounds like it could be anything from being benign to cat scratch fever to something worse. Depending on the result will depend on how I'm doing on Tues. Can we let you know last minute or should we just plan on a different day? Let me know.

so did you decide on a date?

if you don't find anything locally, the san jose area is where i went because there's a huge list of places very near each other, plus a david's bridal, which has those $99 sales.
