About a Week...

I can't even believe that at this time next week we will being doing the rehearsal for the wedding...and then the next day...the real deal. The last couple of months have flown by and I will attest to the fact that planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things that exists. I think if there was an endless supply of money then it wouldn't be so bad. But it just keeps disappearing! Weird. :-)

I still feel like there are quite a few details that need to be done. Jason and I went and got our marriage certificate yesterday. I can't believe they charge you $80 and then don't even give you a copy of it. You have to pay an extra $13 for that. Oh, the bureaucracy of it all! Anyways, there are some very exciting to-do's to get done this weekend (that don't involve the wedding!). If and when they get done I will tell you what it is. Yay!

So, I just ate a piece (well, more like a slab) of banana bread. I have larger then normal tonsils apparently and I think that I have a piece of the bread stuck in one. I usually get rice and random small things like that caught. Never bread. Hmmm, it's not all that comfy.

Anyways, I should be doing other things...like work, and wedding stuff. Anyone want to take over the wedding planning for the last week??? I believe I just may be done! haha.

"Time keeps on ticking, ticking, ticking...into the future!"

Do you know that song? Hmmm, I do. I'm kind of a sucker for old rock. I think that Jason sometimes gets surprised when he gets into the car to hear 93.3 The Rock. Granted, some of the songs aren't exactly, mmm...kosher, but you can just flip the station when those pop up. I love the old rock songs though that I know all the words to and can sing out the window at the top of my lungs...yes, out the window of the mini-van. 93.3 and the mini-van? Not sure how those can coincide, but they do! :-)

So, we are less then two weeks away people! Jas and I are kicking it into over-drive with all the things that we need to do. It's a lot of calls, final details, final payments, final meetings etc. etc. We also have to pack Jason up (which we have a great start on). We moved our friends Keith and Cara a couple of Saturday's ago and I looked at Jason all of a sudden and said, "Wait! You are going to be moving too!" So strange! Yet so good. We'll definitely save a bundle in gas! :-) These last couple of weeks have gone by soooo fast, and yet a little slow at the same time. I can see why wedding planners make so much money. It's a LOT of work. Our wedding is pretty simple too.

So, last Saturday I had a little bachelorette type party. It was quite fun. We went downtown and I had to complete a few tasks. One was explaining to a restaurant that we were out of money for our wedding budget and only had 25 cents for each meal to spend. I went to Mondeo's to do this. Guess what. They gave me a free meal! haha! We completed the night with a trip to Applebee's to have half off appetizers and desserts. Yum. It was a great "girl's night out" full of a lot of laughing! :-)

Anyways, I'm off to hit the hay! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday. I get to pick up my altered dress. Yay!

Any Volunteers???... :-)

So, I have a favor/request. The LOVELY Judi P. is heading up the decor for the reception. She is looking for 5-6 people who would be willing to meet on Saturday morning, the 7th, at 8am to help her decorate the MC for our reception. It will be in the morning and you will still have enough time to go home before the wedding to change and all that jazz. If this is something that sounds good I would LOVE your help. Go ahead and shoot me a message here or call if that sounds like something you would like to do! :-)

Thanks so very much everyone!!!

20 more days... :-)

So, the wedding is very, very quickly approaching. It's weird to think back on when we first got engaged...about 5 1/2 months ago. It feels like forever ago and yet like yesterday all at the same time. So strange! We are hammering out a lot of the final details...and probably details that aren't really considered "final details" but have become that because I've left them until now to think about. hmmm. Oh well. I got my dress back on Tues. That was really fun. I was soooo nervous driving there. I had this crazy fear that I would try it on and not like it any more...or not like the fit after seeing how it fits in my size. A little crazy. I still really like the dress, :-) It fit like a glove...perfect. Everything except the length. Oh well. It's getting altered right now. $300 later I will have a shorter dress with a bustle. YES, I did say $300 which is HALF of what the whole dress cost. What in the world? It seems completely ridiculous to me...but, the dress has to fit! So....oh well!

So, some things that have to be done this week:
-Order the roses for the cake and bridesmaids
-Go to my practice hair run
-Order daisies
-Do my taxes
-Work
-Go to Growth Group
-Pick up my dress
-Pick up my wedding band
-Get an idea for numbers...have you sent in your RSVP yet? :-)
-Figure a menu
etc, etc, etc.

Anyways, that's probably a 1/3 of what we need to do. That's all that I could think of off the top of my head. Sooooo, I'm off to go to bed!!! :-)

Some Eye Candy!

Well, even though the wedding is in three and a half weeks....here are some engagement photos. haha. It took a while to decide what form we wanted the photos in...CD or prints. So, here are some fun one's. Hope you enjoy your complete overdose of "Jason and Anna"! :-)

So, there are a lot of "walking" pictures. Hmmm. Kind of funny!!! :-)

Wedding Shower Fun...!

Well. yesterday was the Grace Church wedding shower...thrown my the lovely Debbi!!! It was really really fun! Strange that it was for me...but super great! It was so funny because I was telling some people about how I actually forgot that the shower was for me. I got there and said hi to people and then we started off with some games. There were a couple of games and I kind of got distracted by them. Then Lisa prayed before the food and she mentioned my name. When I heard my name I jumped a little because some where between arriving and the games I forgot why I was there. I've been to so many showers and I guess figured I was at someone elses. haha. Anyways, it was very fun and thank you to all who came and for all the AMAZING gifts! I felt so blessed! Thank you, thank you!

Soooo...I think my dress comes in this week! I'm super excited. I'm a little nervous because a friend of mine got her dress back and ended up not liking it. Hopefully that won't happen! :-) Hopefully there won't be much altering either...for the sake of our bank account! Anyways, we are at less then one month away for the wedding. So crazy. I feel like there are still a lot of things to do...but, they'll get done I'm sure! We have our first two nights reserved for after the wedding but we are still trying to figure out what else to do. We're thinking kind of low-key and not super expensive. Anyone have any suggestions or ideas??? :-)

Merry Christmas...Happy New Year...etc, etc.

Hello all!

Well, I hope that everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!!! :-) Mine was most pleasant! :-) So, I don't have a ton of time to post a bunch of updates but I thought that I would put some pictures of the "family bridal shower" that I had last Saturday! Jason's mom is having surgery and will not be able to go to the one that is at Grace this Sat. so, she decided to throw one herself! It was quite fun!!!On the left is my sister-in-law to-be Joanna. She is Tyler (Jason's brothers) wife. On the right is Ashley, Jason's cousin who I was actually friends with in high school before I even knew Jason.

My Great Aunt Lilly May and I! She's so cute!!!

A little friendly tp competition fun! :-) We had to make dresses! My mom won! It was her fetching TP rosettes and hat that did it!

Anyways, that was the shower. It was very fun! And...there's another one coming up on Saturday. Yay, how fun! :-)
